Gateway South helped the destination HaparandaTornio – Two Countries One Destination – to position itself on the Italian and Spanish markets. The goal was to ensure that the destination became part of the programming of selected Tour Operators.
We created a manual for agents, organized commercial meetings with the distribution network, attended the main travel fairs in Italy and Spain where we presented the destination and organized famtrips for tour operators. We also supported the travel trade by sending out press releases and sending up journalists and bloggers. The marketing was mainly concentrated on the winter season but activities were also done regarding the summer period.
